Christmas Day

On December 25, people around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Some people celebrate by giving gifts. Children may be thanking Santa Claus for new toys. They may also be going to church with their families. Christmas has so many traditions and symbols associated with it, that it's hard to determine exactly how it came to be the celebration it is today. Although there are many people that celebrate in this festival, only few of them can tell the importance of having Christmas day.

The story happened around two thousand years ago. The angel came from the heaven to tell a man whose his job was to take care the sheep horde. The man was told about the birth of new king, Jesus Christ, who will be born from a virgin woman in Bethlehem and the man was also led to see the Jesus by the position of the star. Finally, he found a baby born from a virgin woman laying in the manger, everyone was felicitous of the birth of a new king and he was later called Jesus.

Assumption University has a celebration in the Christmas festival too. In the Christmas day at ABAC, it started at noon and in the area near the right fence there were a large amount of shops for the party in this day. There was one shop which dare the people to take a chance from their lucks. This game attracted me so I went in and played. The game was called “take a change”. I had to pick one of the five cards. I was very exciting when I opened the card and turned it, I felt shock. It said you won the prize. I got a “Big Brown Bear” and then I went to see a fantastic concert held by the university.

After that, about five o'clock in the evening, I went to the Christmas party at the church to worship the God with my youth group, in the church I had to sing a Christmas song to recall the meaning of Christmas. When I arrived the church which was at my old school, I also had a party like the one held in ABAC. Then I ate a lot of food, all of them were very delicious. There were the activity which was made to give gifts to each others and I got many gifts too. About 7 p.m. I sang a song in order to bless everybody who came to the church. I was very happy because I saw everyone enjoy with my melody. And what was special in that day was that I could sing a song with many cute girls in the church!

By the way, this morning at the church, I heard a song that I think it encouraged me and I just want to share with you. The song is “Jesus Lover of My Soul”
(it’s just the same name but different one).
